That same season, the news revealed that Tolman would have a two-episode guest role on The Mindy Project, playing Abby Berman, a romance writer. In 2015 she played a supporting part in Michael Dougherty s comedy horror movie Krampus. Tolman was turned down for roles in supporting characters including best friends spouses, and mothers after her breakout role in Fargo. The actress was searching for an unusual role. Tolman was a part of ABC in Downward Dog (based on Animal Media Group's web-series). The series ended after one season. Tolman played a role in the ABC drama Emergence. The show premiered on September 24, 2019, and ended after one season, on May 21, 2021, even though Tolman tweeted that the show received "pretty excellent" ratings. In addition, she was in a guest appearance on NBC's Good Girls. She was Alma Filcott in season two of Why Women Kill. Natalie Green played in Live in Front of a Studio Audience 3.
